ATHS is Coming to Springfield, Ill. in 2022!

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) has announced it will host the 2022 National Convention & Truck Show in Springfield, Ill., June 9-11, 2022. The Illinois State Fairgrounds will be packed to the brim with nearly 1,000 trucks and trailers of all shapes and sizes and more than 10,000 daily attendees from around the globe. The ATHS National Convention & Truck Show is the largest antique truck show in the world.

ATHS originally scheduled the 2020 National Convention & Truck Show at this same location, but due to COVID-19 health concerns, the Society moved the entirety of the event online. “We had made a promise to support the local ATHS chapter in and around Springfield and bring the national show to their community,” Laurence Gration, ATHS Executive Director said. “And although we are going to be a little later than planned, we are excited to have the 2022 National Convention & Truck Show scheduled and on the books.”

The ATHS National Convention & Truck Show encourages attendees to explore the unique history of trucks, the trucking industry, and its pioneers. In addition to the antique truck show, attendees can enjoy presentations on topics varying from restoration advice to advancements in biofuels. Businesses and retailers are encouraged to inquire about available booth space at the trade show, advertising options (including all virtual options), and sponsorship opportunities. This event draws thousands of brand-loyal, truck enthusiasts from around the world, and offers high vendor returns.

“The 2022 ATHS National Convention & Truck Show will be an exceptional event,” Gration continued. “We were not sure it was going to happen, but the hard work of the local Chapter paid off. We will have large and small trucks on display representing 100 years of trucking history, from lavish semis to turn-of-the-last-century classics for our members and guests to enjoy and explore. ATHS is proud to bring this family-friendly convention and show to the Springfield community.”
